As part of the Human Rights Week at the University of Geneva, The Venerable Luon Sovath, the 2012 Martin Ennals Award winner, gives a master class titled “Social Media: A double-edged sword in Human Rights Defence”. The Venerable Luon Sovath, is a Buddhist monk and human rights activist from Siem Reap, Cambodia.

The 2021 SGM plenary session on Friday November 19th is entitled “Climate, Resources and Environment: conflicts, synergies & compromises”. During the symposium prominent national and international scientists will share their views on aspects ranging from climate science, energy transition and impact on ecosystems and society.
