Workshop with Uma Mishra-Newbery

In this workshop titled “Building on scholarship - Ideas for developing engaged scholarship and advocacy based on research for BHR” led by Uma Mishra-Newbery, participants learn why transferring the knowledge gained via academic research on business and human rights into a real-world setting is critical in today’s shifting human rights landscape.

This workshop is offered to the alumni of the Young Researchers Summit.

Uma Mishra-Newbery is a human rights advocateand the #FreeLoujain campaign manager. Ms. Loujain Al-Hathloul was awarded the 2020 Vaclav Havel Human Rights Prize and is a finalist in the 2021 Martin Ennals Award for Human Rights Defenders.
