Tackling child labour in cocoa through a due diligence approach: how can an EU legal framework scale-up positive impact?

In the context of the European Commission’s pledge for a “zero-tolerance” approach on child labour, the recently established EU multi-stakeholder dialogue for sustainable cocoa and the proposal for an EU mandatory due diligence legislation expected in June 2021, this webinar organized by Nestlé explores the complexities of tackling child labour in the cocoa sector and the opportunity to shape an impactful EU due diligence legislation, within a broader set of measures, that will enhance collaboration between supply chain actors and promote systemic change across the cocoa sector.

Presentations by subject-matter experts from Nestlé and the International Cocoa Initiative is followed by a Q&A with participants.
