The GCBHR engages with a diverse range of partners and stakeholders to advance research and practice on human rights in global business operations. These partnerships are fundamental to the success of our work.
The GCBHR collaborates closely with the NYU Stern Center for Business and Human Rights where Professor Dorothée Baumann-Pauly has been serving as the research director since 2013.
To advance human rights in business education, we collaborate with Global Business School Network (GBSN) and co-lead the GBSN for BHR Impact Community. We work closely with academic institutions on joint research projects and for co-hosting conferences, including NYU Stern, University of St. Gallen, University of New South Wales, and Wharton Zicklin Center for Business Ethics Research.
We engage with companies and industry associations representing different industries, geographies, and positions in the value chain, in the context of our BHR Clinic, function-specific executive training, expert interviews for research projects and multi-stakeholder initiatives.
Leveraging synergies and complementary expertise, we also partner with international organizations and government bodies, including International Labour Organization (ILO), Fair Labor Association (FLA), Council of Europe (COE), UN Global Compact Network Switzerland and Liechtenstein (GCNSL), UNICEF, and local and international civil society organizations.
The GCBHR is deeply connected to the rich human rights landscape of Geneva. The center also collaborates with international organizations based in the city including the World Economic Forum (WEF), the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
