BUILDING BRIDGES - Beyond Green: Integrating Human Rights in the Sustainable Finance Agenda

The sustainable finance agenda has largely focused on environmental sustainability and integrating human rights is still new for many financial institutions. In this session, members of the Thun Group of Banks will share how they are defining the role of the finance industry for human rights and how their own institutions are integrating human rights in their core business practices.

The Thun Group of Banks is a group of international banks working together with the purpose of understanding how human rights can best be respected and promoted across the breadth of different banking activities.

The objective of the session is to further advance the exchange between the Thun Group of Banks and external stakholders. This group, while and industry-only platform, has been discussing its activities with stakeholders regularly. The session will provide further opportunity for members of the group to talk about their work with human rights experts.

The parallel event of the UN Forum for Business and Human Rights will draw extra attention to this session.
