Teaching ESG, not as easy as ABC

More business schools and higher education institutions are integrating sustainable finance into their curricula. However, a lack of standardisation in a rapidly evolving sector is just one of the challenges that make it difficult to teach.

Prof. Dorothée Baumann-Pauly is quoted in this Geneva Solutions article on teaching ESG. She says that we “(…) need to figure out what is the human rights component of marketing, operations management, and sustainable finance. And unfortunately, right now, those sustainable finance classes fall short of those social aspects, including human rights”.

This article also refers to the new Master in Responsible Management at the Geneva School of Economics and Management.
